HydraFacial® Non-invasive skin resurfacing technology

The Problem

When we are young our skin is more elastic, springing back into place, meaning wrinkles are less visible when our skin is resting. As we age the skin loses much of this elasticity, meaning that wrinkles are more visible, even when the skins muscles are relaxed. It’s these wrinkles that contribute to making our faces look older.

The reason for our skin losing its elasticity is that after the age of 30 the amount of collagen we produce diminishes. Collagen keeps our skin supple, so as it diminishes naturally we become prone to wrinkles and sagging skin.

What does a HydraFacial treat?

Skin Refinement

HydraFacial stimulates collagen, which creates a youthful skin texture. Hyaluronic acid ensures skin remains supple and elastic.

Sun Damage

Glycolic and salicylic acid break down pigmentation. Powerful antioxidants help to protect the skin from further damage.

Undereye Puffiness

Powerful ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, seaweed extract and soy peptides soothe and hydrate the skin, this helps strengthen the collagen and elastin in the delicate areas around the eye.

Hyperpigmentation

Glycolic and salicylic acid help break down pigmentation. Powerful antioxidants help protect the skin from further damage.

Anti-Aging Treatment

HydraFacial’s unique formula of peptides improves cell structural strength and stimulates collagen production; in tern this rejuvenates your skin.

Wrinkles

HydraFacial reduces the appearance of wrinkles through a uniquely formulated combination of peptides.

Acne

Ingredients in HydraFacial are designed to minimise redness and inflammation of the skin, which is caused by the breakout of spots, whilst preventing the skin drying out. Hyaluronic acid and antioxidants are then infused in the skin, which helps protect and restore your skin’s health.

HydraFacial and your skin

The HydraFacial Skin Health for Life treatment uses super-serums filled with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid to boost hydration and protects skin from environmental damage, leaving it recharged, renewed, and invigorated.

The technology behind HydraFacial

HydraFacial’s unique, patented technology takes non-invasive facial rejuvenation to a whole new level – two levels above IPL. In clinical studies performed by leading U.S. doctors, the HydraFacial was shown to provide better results than many other forms of rejuvenation.

HydraFacial take-home products augment the treatment to prolong and sustain results. Most importantly, the HydraFacial is the only machine of its kind that uses the 4-in-1 technology of Vortex-Cleansing™, HydroPeel® Exfoliation, Vortex-Extraction™, and Vortex-Fusion®.

Where can HydraFacial be used?

HydraFacial can be used anywhere on the face or neck area.

How many HydraFacial treatments are required?

No facial assessment required for HydraFacial meaning you can book the treatment without a consultation. The treatment takes up to 45 minutes. We recommend initially starting with one treatment every week for six weeks and then one treatment per month thereafter.

Results of HydraFacial

In several published studies conducted by leading U.S. plastic surgeon Bruce M. Freedman, MD, FACS, author of over 40 publications in medical journals and textbooks, the HydraFacial hydradermabrasion technology was clinically proven to be effective for facial rejuvenation. In particular, Dr. Freedman studied polyphenolic antioxidant levels within the skin and how hydra-dermabrasion compares to other skin rejuvenation procedures.

Downtime for HydraFacial treatment

There is no downtime or pain with the HydraFacial treatment.

Am I suitable for HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is suitable for all ages groups and all skin types. You will be required to fill out a medical form to rule out any conditions that could potentially contraindicate your treatment.

HydraFacial aftercare tips

Skin can be slightly red post treatment and we would recommend that only mineral based makeup be applying directly after treatments.

I had heard great things about HydraFacial so as soon as this treatment became available I booked myself in for a series of treatments at Radiance Medispa, seriously impress so far!

As someone who over the years has undergone various treatments at top clinics around the world I was anxious that when I moved to Exeter I would not be able to find a Clinic with the same level of expertise and service I was used to. However thankfully a very good friend highly recommended Dr Ros and Katie Debenham at Radiance Medispa and I have never looked back. From the moment you step through their beautifully designed chic clinic you instantly feel at ease and relaxed. You are welcomed with extreme friendliness and courtesy from all the staff who are beautifully presented, professional, knowledgeable and experts in their field. Every procedure and treatment is explained in minute detail and the after care service is second to none. I have recommended Radiance MediSpa for various treatments to many of my friends who regularly comment that since I have attended the clinic my hair and skin look amazing. I cannot recommend Dr Ros and her team highly enough. She is an amazing aesthetic practitioner a true expert in her field, she listens to what you want, reassures, advices in every capacity and is very knowledgeable. I believe that anyone who steps into Radiance Medispa will always come out feeling and looking a millions dollars…….

So I booked in to have Botox today for hyperhydrosis, I’ve had it twice before with a doctor my GP referred me to privately. I was a bit nervous before going because it was so painful when I had it done before, I had nothing to be nervous about!

Not only is Radiance MediSpa easy to get to, with lots of free parking, the salon is stunning, clean and the staff were very welcoming. Dr Ros was really friendly and reassuring. After applying local anaesthetic cream (which the doctor I saw previously wouldn’t let me have), which took around 10 minutes to take effect, the procedure was quick and completely pain free!

Dr Ros made conversation and explained everything fully, I wish I hadn’t worried myself beforehand but I had a great experience and would definitely go back and recommend them for anything you are considering having done.

I have suffered with spots and bad skin since being a teenager and have tried all sorts of products and treatments. This is my absolute favourite facial by far. Not only does it make my skin feel extra clean it also feels soft after the treatment. It’s also very satisfying seeing any dirt that’s been removed in a little pot at the end of the facial. I’m sure that my skin improves after each treatment, i would strongly reccomend.

This is my favourite treatment. The hydrafacial is incredible. After each session my skin looked and felt healthier, it was also less dry and crusty. I had my facial done with Charlotte and I loved it! I knew what to expect and how to care for my skin after the treatment. I enjoyed being able to relax during the treatment. Charlotte was very kind, professional and informative.
