Thermage tightens & contours the skin on the face and body
|Thermage is proven to reduce wrinkles and sagging of the skin with no down time. Put the ‘Spring’ back in your face at our reduced ‘Spring prices’ of £1,300 (eyes), usually £1,500 or £1,700 (face, neck or body), usually £2,000. All treatments are subject to an initial consultation and will be conducted by Helen Hunt SRN nurse.
As we age we lose volume in the face especially the cheek area and there is a reduction in the elasticity of the skin. An analogy is that of a jumper that has stretched and is being worn by someone who has lost a considerable amount of weight. The results are sagging skin and wrinkles giving an aged appearance.
Thermage is a non-invasive procedure that’s clinically proven to help tighten and contour the skin for an overall younger looking appearance. It is used on the face and all areas of the body. It is a favored treatment of Gwyneth Paltrow and mongst many of the clelebrities who require results without downtime.
A Thermage treatment is carried using a hand piece with a smooth, flat tip that delivers Themage’s unique radio frequency (RF) technology, safely heating up the deep, collagen rich layers of your skin.
The heat helps tighten existing Collagen and stimulates the formation of new collagen. This reduces sagging, renews contours, and improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface.
Where can Thermage be used?
Thermage is used as a preventative measure as well as to treat specific areas.
• Face – jowls, naso labial lines, marionette lines, smokers lines and for general skin tightening.
• Eyes – under eye wrinkles and skin laxity as well as heavy, hooded eyelids.
• Lips – smokers lines and area of ‘lip stick bleeding’.
• Tummy – skin laxity post baby or due to excess sun exposure.
• Arms – skin laxity especially the inner upper arm area.
• Hands – skin laxity on the upper side of the hands.
• Thighs and knee areas – skin laxity due to age and sun exposure.
• Buttocks – Skin laxity due to ageing and loss of volume.
After the consent form has been discussed and signed, and photographs taken your face will be cleansed in preparation. A sticky pad is applied to your back to complete the radio frequency circuit. A gel is applied to the skin and then the temperature is set according to your comfort. Some areas will be more sensitive and require the energy level to be turned down, others will be able to tolerate much higher energy levels. The Thermage tip has a cooling plate and a vibrational part that means more energy can be delivered through the tip without it being uncomfortable. The skin is treated in a systematic way to raise the temperature and stimulate the collagen production. A treatment of the the face takes about 1-2hours.
An eye treatment requires tiny plastic shields to be placed over the eyes using local anaesthetic drops. A treatment on the eyes, whether it is focusing on the upper lids or the skin under the eyes, takes 1-11/2 hours. The eyes may feel a bit sensitive for a few days after the treatment due to the use of the protective shields.
A Thermage procedure is a single treatment with immediately visible results for most clients. Measurable tightening and contouring gradually appear in the two to six months in the course of your body’s natural collagen rebuilding process. Results can last years depending on your skin condition and aging process. Most clients, however, have yearly treatments with lesser collagen stimulating treatments every 6 weeks, such as laser, Peels, Indiba, OmniFace and Dermaroller or Dermapen. We advise the use of Retinol and antioxidant containing products from the ZO range .They will be discussed at your consultation as they significantly enhance the results.
There is no downtime.
