Used by the stars to tighten & contour the skin

£1,800 - £2,250

The Problem

As we age we lose volume in the face especially the cheek area and there is a reduction in the elasticity of the skin. An analogy is that of a cushion that has lost some of it’s stuffing and the cushion cover stretched. The results are sagging skin and wrinkles giving an aged appearance especially in the lower face, jowl and neck areas.

The Treatment

We have used Thermage for over 10 year now and are very excited to offer the latest Thermage FLX which gives more ski tightening, is more comfortable and a treatment takes around just one hour. Thermage FLX is a non-invasive procedure that’s clinically proven to help tighten and contour the skin for an overall younger looking appearance. It is used on the face and all areas of the body. It is a favoured treatment of Gwyneth Paltrow and amongst many of the celebrities who require results without downtime.

A Thermage treatment is carried out using a handpiece with a smooth, flat tip that delivers Themage FLX’s unique radio frequency (RF) technology, safely heating up the deep, collagen rich layers of your skin.

The heat helps tighten existing Collagen and stimulates the formation of new collagen. This reduces sagging, renews contours, and improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface.

Where can Thermage FLX be used?

Thermage FLX is used as a preventative measure as well as to treat specific areas.

  • Face – jowls, nasolabial lines, marionette lines, smokers lines and for general skin tightening.
  • Eyes – under eye wrinkles and skin laxity as well as heavy, hooded eyelids.
  • Lips – smokers lines and area of ‘lipstick bleeding’.
  • Tummy – skin laxity post baby or due to excess sun exposure.
  • Arms – skin laxity especially the inner upper arm area.
  • Thighs and knee areas – skin laxity due to age and sun exposure.
  • Buttocks – Skin laxity due to ageing and loss of volume.

The Procedure

After the consent form has been discussed and signed, and photographs taken your face will be cleansed in preparation. A sticky pad is applied to your back to complete the radio frequency circuit.

A gel is applied to the skin and then the temperature is set according to your comfort. Some areas will be more sensitive and require the energy level to be turned down, others will be able to tolerate much higher energy levels.

The Thermage FLX tip has a cooling plate and a vibrational part that means more energy can be delivered through the tip without it being uncomfortable. The skin is treated in a systematic way to raise the temperature and stimulate collagen production. Treatment of the face takes about 1hour.

An eye treatment requires tiny plastic shields to be placed over the eyes using local anaesthetic drops. Treatment on the eyes, whether it is focusing on the upper lids or the skin under the eyes, takes just under 1 hours The eyes may feel a bit sensitive for a few days after the treatment due to the use of the protective shields.

The Results

A Thermage FLX procedure is a single treatment with immediately visible results for most clients. Measurable tightening and contouring gradually appear in the two to six months in the course of your body’s natural collagen rebuilding process.

Results can last years depending on your skin condition and ageing process. Most clients, however, have yearly treatments with lesser collagen stimulating treatments every month, such as Hydrafacial, Indiba, IPL laser and Peels.

We advise the use of Retinol and antioxidant-containing products from the ZO range as well as Skinade collagen drink. They will be discussed at your consultation as they significantly enhance the results.

There is no downtime. Skinade collagen drink is great to give the body the building blocks to produce tighter skin at all times but especially after Thermage. Skinade £3.50 a day; the price of a good coffee but supporting your skin!
